Moroccan Lotteries

There are two lotteries operating in Morocco: La Marocaine des Jeux et des Sports, Casablanca, established in 1962, and the Loterie Nationale, Casablanca, established in 1972. La Marocaine des Jeux et des Sports is a state-owned organization that operates Morocco's instant lotteries and sports betting products under state concession, working with international suppliers for technology and risk management over time. The Loterie Nationale operates Morocco's national lottery and keno. Marocaine des Jeux et des Sports is primarily a sports lottery and betting provider, though it offers some instant games.

In spring 2012, the newly elected conservative government banned the broadcasting of live lottery draws on television.
