Moroccan Lotteries

There are two lotteries operating in Morocco: La Marocaine des Jeux et des Sports, Casablanca, established in 1962, and the Loterie Nationale, Casablanca, established in 1972. La Marocaine des Jeux et des Sports is a state-owned organization that operates Morocco's instant lotteries in partnership with GTECH. The Loterie Nationale operates Morocco's national lottery and keno. Marocaine des Jeux et des Sports is primarily a sports lottery and betting provider, though it offers some instant games.

In spring 2012, the newly elected conservative government banned the broadcasting of live lottery draws on television.
